Postby mjsroofing » Sun Dec 07, 2025 12:11 pm

Does any one know what the unladen weight would be roughly,
I know I can go to weigh bridge , which i will at some point, i was just hoping someone would have already done it with their van and just happens ro know.
I just want to work out my tyre pressures.

Info' re' vehicle weights/payload etc is available on the net.
Transits are not the same. 2.6 2.8 3.5 DRW SRW SWB LWB XLWB which one do you refer to?

There's a lot to consider.
What do you mean by unladen weight?
The weight of the veicle before it is fully loaded.
Simply - full tank, driver and all the things usually in/on the vehicle the weight of which needs to be known is the weight of the vehicle before it is fully loaded - unladen weight.
The unladen weight and the payload.
The unladen weight of a 3.5 is say 2000 kg therefore the payload is 1500 kg.
The easiest way to know the unladen weight is to weigh it with all of its usual things in/on it. Lunch box and the feather the wren dropped.
Could get a load of sand from a merchants you'll be weighed in/out. Take scrapmetal to a merchant weighed in/out - no charge.

The DRW Iveco 3.5 tipper had a payload of 900 kg.
The 3.5 Luton back DRW has a payload of 1300 kg.
The 3.5 XLWB SRW not found out what that is yet.
2012 2.2 TDCi MK 7 E 5 100 HP - 350 3.5 tonne XLWB RWD H3 L4 Duratorq 2.2L CR TC 14 DSL 100/125 PS
Was DRRB 74 KW 100 HP 100 cv. Now CYR5 125 HP. PCM Siemens Continental fuel system.
OBD2 ELM 327 FTDI and Vlinker . Forscan 2.3.46

DRW = Dual Rear Wheel...SRW = Single Rear Wheel.

If he had read the title, he would know is was a LWB, Medium roof FWD. Can't say I've seen any dual rear wheel FWD's about..!

Think to be safe 2200kg cause mine might have been nearer the 2300kg , get it weighed at your local council tip, scrap metal yard etc

Have you got a rolling road brake test print out from your last mot it should give you the axle weights add them together to give the van weight.
