Happy new year, keeping it rolling!
Hello to all of you, I first like to thank you all for the heaps of info I found over the years on this forum. It's been helping me out whit all sorts of questions and little trouble that is expected by running any vehicle.
I've run into the same "P00BD - Mass of Volume Air Flow 'A' Circuit Range/Performance - Air flow too high" code on my girlfriend her Ford Transit mk7 2.2 125bhp fwd 2012 Euro 5 225.00km / 139.808 mile. When you put the engine to work at higher speeds ( about 100kmh / 60 mile/h) cog light comes on, power is cut, sometimes engine warning light pops up.
So, what have we done:
- replaced Mass Airflow sensor - did a reset - didn't change a thing
- took off all the air hoses, visual check and cleaned them out. Yes there was oil, no collection of oil in the intercooler. Fitted a oil catch can afterwards.
- did a break cleaner leak test - no leaks on the vacuum part of the air hoses and conections
- replace inlet temp sensor - didn't change a thing
- changed egr valve - did a reset - didn't change a thing
- changed the turbo - did a reset - didn't change a thing
- changed the injector seals and rings - didn't change a thing
So now I've unplugged the plug on the EGR valve, got the suspected engine warning light, but the van just runs fine. At higher speeds (over 100kmh / 60 miles/h) and getting on to the motorways there's no power loss, no cog light . . . . so . . . is it the brand new genuine ford EGR valve that's not functioning? Or are there any other suggestions / options? Cause it feels like chasing a ghost . . .
Running ForScan
Still very optimistic.
Looking forward to get some advise, thanks in advanced !
