mK7 2013 FWD Gear selector shaft

Postby Colin K » Mon Feb 02, 2026 1:40 pm

Hello,
Struggling to get 2nd gear on this van and got worse. Was going to change the cables and when off i can see there is play on the selector shaft the right hand one looking at it. There is a bit of rust on the shaft too which is sus always

There is a pin or something that holds it onto the shaft but cannot see if its a roll pin or a bolt I can see a small hole in each end but cannot get a Torx or allen key to fit. Any ideas chaps..

Thanks, Col.

think what you have there is called a spiral roll pin

not even seen one until today

looked at ebay and they are available in various sizes

here's a tool i made of ordinary ones

note the tool fits into it .. and travels through the hole to extract it

don't know .. you are just going to have to punch it out, and use heat on it

and cat car info - parts diagrams site - not working for me today - so cant give you the part number

Hello chaps,
Bit stuck wit this one wondered if anyone has any ideas. Its the 6 speed 2013 fwd box the selector shaft pin on the top of the box was awful and thought that must be it but nope.

Got new cables ordered. See on ebay there is a gear selector pin listed saying that it wears think this is in the top mechanism on the gear stick (do we still call it that) Wondered if anyone had come across this?

Cheers, Col.

There's only one for the FWD VMT6. Euro-5 FWD Transits only came in 6 speed. You haven't linked anything..??

well here's all the gear selector linkages

http://www.catcar.info/ford/?lang=en&l= ... MzA3MDY%3D

You'll have to decide what box you have and follow the diagrams

The part number (1126983) you supplied looks nothing like that spiral roll pin in he pic above
