Mk7 inner track rod oddity?

Postby MinorMatt » Fri Feb 20, 2026 11:03 pm

I found out something interesting today.

I have been working on the steering on my 2009 T330 SWB FWD

The end of the steering rack (bit under the gaiter) where the inner track rods screw in to the rack itself are M20 on one side, and M16 on the other.... Seems rather odd but is this normal? And if so why?
