Postby Davcud6972# » Thu May 21, 2026 10:14 am

My mk6 transit serpentine belt keeps shredding, I've changed all the pulleys, tensioner, the crank pulley etc all seems fine the current belt has done the grand total of 10 miles before shredding, I'm now stumped
All help and suggestions please

I know you said all pulleys....but has the alternator clutch pulley been changed..?? If RWD, has the timing cover been off recently..??

Its RWD timing cover not been off recently, hadn't thought of the alternator pulley as it looked fine no wobble or play

They have a "one-way" clutch in them which often fails and causes all sorts of grief to the belt.
