Rear right door lock wire harness

Postby EarthDaniel » Sat May 23, 2026 7:53 pm

I'm repairing a wire harness of rear right door. It has one plug in the door connected to the lock & two plugs (one gray & one black) connected behind a lamp in the rear right pillar.

Someone decided that this harness will have all wires black with no signatures on them. What a genius. A couple of wires were damaged, but still connected so I soldered a proper connection & insulated them. Two wires are still broken & I need to know which one is which before connecting them.

On the lock side my broken wires come to pins 8 & 5

On the connector that's inside the pillar my broken wires go to pins 3 & 5

I want to find someone who will check in their car to which pins on the lock side go to 3 & 5 from the pillar black plug.

Wire colours numbers.png

Look at black and green 6. Turn your numbered image upside down and there is a match. The connectors have ( ears) guides.
So could be the same wiring for 2008 and 2012.
The hand written text came from a post on this forum.
Can look at what's on my van if needs be.

Hey, your answer gave me a lot of hope.

When I started looking the colored diagram wasn't very clear to me or at least didn't match what exactly I was seeing. However one of the first thoughts that came to my mind was that on this drawing wire colors on harnesses attached to the black mysterious one correspond. That was the key. In my case the broken wires were yellow-blue & yellow-violet. Now it's fixed & I can have my stuff a little more secure now. The lock is working.

As the numbers on the drawing didn't match mine I'll leave my information here so someone can find it useful.
