Autowatch Clam 375 alarm problem.

Hi everyone, I bought the above alarm from ebay over a year ago, worked perfectly until last night, when i activated the central locking with the keyfob the van locked up ok, but the alarm would not beep to clarify it was armed. When i returned to the van the van unlocked ok with the fob, but as soon as i opened the door the alarm went off, i could not stop it with the fob, in the end i cut the wire to stop the siren, but the hazards kept flashing untill the reset kicked in.
As it stands now the van will lock and unlock fine but the hazards keep flashing all the time if i try to drive the van, if i dont start the van the hazards flash untill it resets, then they stop flashing.
I am going to check all connections and door contacts etc, if no joy i will remove the unplug the alarm from the loom, so i can at least drive the van.
has anyone any experiance of this problem, or any suggestions to try and fix it?

Doubt it's a problem with the door locks / switches or central security module, as van locks and unlocks without problems. Alarm should only set on second press of lock button, i.e. double lock which it's obviously doing or did. Alarm will then only go off in theory, if van is unlocked with key and not remote, or there's a fault with the alarm. Have you checked the two fuses in the alarm loom?

Hi everyone, i have taken the alarm taken apart and refitted, the fuses are ok, now i have got full working order except that if i trigger the alarm by opening door or bonnet with key, i cannot stop the siren with the remote, the unlocking works ok but the siren carries on, whilst this is a pain at least the alarm works, and i can stop the siren with the key pad inside the van.

It supposed to be that way, will only arm / dis-arm with the remote.

Hi. Thats my point, it will not disarm with the remote when the alarm is triggered, it only unlocks the doors, the siren carries on.
It definately stopped the siren with the remote before this upsett occurred.

Hi, Will reference with the clam alarm, you proably got the alarm via me on ebay, l have fitted a lot of these alarms, and yes the only problem l can find is it does turn off, when the alarm is still firing, so shut all doors/ bonnet, and wait until the alarm siren has stoped, and then it turns off, if it doesn't then type the pin no. into the key pad, as per instructions, cheers Phil and if you can also check out my new web site for transit alarms @ www.carxtreme.co.uk

I had the same problem as you with the atuwatch 375 clam alarm, still 2 years i coud't arm and disarm the alarm with the original key of my Skoda octavia 2 it was monted. I bougt the alarm with the car in 2006 and it still worked fine to the year 2010. After that the alarm not recognize the original skoda key.

First of all you have to disarm the alarm.
For this you have to conect the keypad of the autowatch alarm and put in the pin code (provided with the alarm, it si a 5 digit code (ex: 14222) than press the S key on the keypad, and you will hear a sound that the alarm is disarmend.
Close all dors and then enter the programming mode;
With the larm disarmed, switch the ignition of the car "on" and hold the S "key" of the keypad for 5 seconds. The keypad back light will rapid flash. (Swithing the ignition "off" will exit the programming mode).

For instalation learn;

Step 1: Entering programming mode (as described befor)
Step 2: Press the buttons (on the keypad) 123S led flash , press 1S led flash
Step 3: do the following
Turn the ignition of the car "off" extract the car key
A 10 seconds "Lock" learn timer will start (this is indicated by a single brap and a indicator flash on the keypad
Press in ths 10 seconds interval th "lock" button of the cars key transmiter

After this 10 seconds end ther will be a double prap and a indicator flash to indicate that the second 10 "unlock " timer has started
Press into this 10 seconds (unlock learn timer) the unlock button of yor car key transmitter

After ending of the 10 seconds unlock timer a triple brap and flash indicate that the programming has automatically exit.

Now your alarm should work. (do the steps carefully and slow) I have done it bad for several times and abandon the alarm for two years

To reset to the factory settings do the following;

Step 1: Enter programming mode
Step 2: Press 123S Led flash, pres 2S led flash
Step 3: Press 111S (that restore the factory settings)
Step 4 : Turn ignition off

(Dont forget to close all dors of your car)

Hello everyone and big thanks to Tomescu!

What a fiddly piece of .... equipment! I don't have Ford Transit, but this forum helped me to solve the problem. I changed my car battery and after that my alarm system was disarmed (blue led indicator was not flashing when the car was locked). Problem was that every time I started the engine, the siren would start howling. If I turned the engine off, it would stop after 10-20 seconds. It took me a number of attempts, but I got it right at the end. I tried factory reset, but it didn't work for me. Installation learn was successful, but I thought I could write instructions a bit clearer ( no offence Tomescu!)

1. Disarm the alarm. On the keypad of the Autowatch alarm put in the pin code (provided with the alarm as a sticker on the back of user manual, it is a 5 digit code) immediately followed by the S key (eg: 14423S). Keypad back-light will flash and you will hear a sound that the alarm is disarmed.
2. Close all doors.
3. Switch the ignition of the car on. You don’t start the engine, just turn the key in to the most up position before cranking the engine.
4. Hold the S key on the keypad until it flashes (approximately 5 seconds). You have entered the programming mode. Do not switch the ignition off as that will exit the programming mode.
5. Press 123S. Keypad back-light flashes.
6. Press 1S. Keypad back-light flashes.
7. Turn the ignition off and extract the car key. Back-light will flash and you will hear a single chirp of the siren.
8. Press the lock button on your car key (within 10 seconds).
9. After keypad back-light flashes and you hear double chirp of siren, press the unlock button on your car key (within 10 seconds).
10. After that your keypad back-light should flash again and 3 chirps of siren will indicate that you exited programming mode.
11. Now your alarm should work. I knew it was right as the blue led on my dash was blinking once I locked my car.
