got a mate with 54 plate transit .69mph max .fixes please to make it go faster.appears to be rev limited .not checked things myself yet thought i`d ask first

It was listed as a £25 option for a 70mph road speed limiter when we ordered our van, that I did briefly consider.
I imagine it could be a popular option for some fleets or rental companies to preserve the vehicle from the idiots that drive them !
I guess it is a setting in the ecu, that possibly can be changed ?

It sounds like the speed limiter has been set.

If the revs max out with the vehicle stationary, it's been set at 70mph and should have had a sticker stating so on the drivers sun visor which is visable with the visor stowed.

Any dealer can disable the limiter for you at a small cost, it's just a matter of connecting WDS to the vehicle and reflashing that parameter on the engine management.
