Misting windows ?

Postby couchcommando » Sun May 07, 2006 1:40 pm

At the first hint of damp outside the windows mist up almost instantly.
Do yours ? the ventialtion system cannot clear them I have to resort to the heated screen and aircon.
If you don't have this option what do you do ?

The only Mk2 that this happened to was the amby. I would walk past and it would look like somebody was having a snogging match in there   . On closer inspection, there was a 1p sized hole in the roof, probably from something being removed, directly above one of the flouro lights. The light fitting was catching the water, then it would steam off when the roof heated up. Check you haven't got a slight leak somewhere it's not seen.

Any vehicle with air con will cause misting on cold glass due to the amount of condensation that collects on the cooling coil.

Cooling coil (evaporator) is the bit the cools the air and as we all know moisture condesates on cold surfaces.
