cig lighter not working!

The one next to the ashtray, i have just changed it with a new female part from ford as the other one had loads of crap in it.

the one under the glovebox works fine but i need this to run my tomtom.

I have checked and replaced the fuse, any other things i can check to get it working.

Maybe the plug has come of the back, try pulling it out and having a look.

Have you tried pluging something other than the tom tom in like a phone charger?I have just got a tom tom 910 and i have to keep waggling it to get it to charge the thing up

i will have a waggle with a phone charger and see if that works.
