53 reg towbar wiring

Hi fitted the towbar to my 53 reg tranny no problems. The guy on ebay that i bought it off told me i needed a single bypass wiring kit. And that oit was just a matter of locating the towbar plug, cutting it off and wiring it into the kit!!

Well i've wasted all afternoon trying to locate the plug!!

I assume its the multiplug behind the n/s rear light cluster.

Couple of questions

1. is my van likely to have a multiplex wiring system? I don't think it has!! and the guy at the dealership was as much use a chocolate fireguard.

2 if it isn't multiplex wiring loom. Is there a kit i can buy that will just plug in??
