Side and rear doors

Postby VJ 6 Aus » Mon Aug 21, 2006 3:04 pm

Anybody know if its possible to fit a switch internally like a boot release just to unlock the back and side doors it really shits me when I'm outside the van with the keys in the ignition and have to walk around just to push the button on the fob minor problem I know but still It would be handy

:? The switch is already there :!: .I'ts on the FOB :!:

If we left our keys in the ignition, in London, the van would dissapear :!:

Why don't you do as I do and use a large key ring and hang the fob on your belt around your waist  :?:
I find it very useful when collecting/putting stuff into the van :D

I've got another even more annoyance with the central locking. If when you unlock the cab only then start the engine, you subsequently cannot unlock the rear doors with the fob unless you switch off the engine !

I suppose it is the same as the fuel cap, it's to stop you leaving the key in the ignition.

ha ha - this p1sses me off too! I unlock the cab, start her up - pull away to the gate at the depot....only for security to leap out of his office and demand a quick check in the back......grrrrrr! Engine off, unlock back, engine start again...GRRRRRR!
Love me, love my van.

This happens all the time with a padlocked Luotn, you have to get over it or drive around with the doors open all the time.

I actually prefer the feature thath stops you from unlocking the back. :)

You know when you're sat in trafic and get bored and start fidgeting? Well sometimes I press the remote buttons as I am playing around. If I did this and the doors unlocked, it would allow some gypo to open the doors at the lights and run off with my tools in the back.
