2004 TRANSIT CONNECT L200 SWB INTERIOR LIGHT - HELP!!!!!

sorry if this has been covered, i could not find in any other posts on here regarding my issue but any help would be much much MUCH! appreciated on this

i have a problem with the interior lights on my connect 2004 L200 swb, they used to work fine, but now they do not work at all, either when the doors are open or closed, do not work manually either, ive checked the bulbs, pulled the instrument cluster for 30min, checked fuses, disconnected battery still no joy but what i have noticed is that when i close or open the door i hear a click where the fuse box behind g/box is, traced it and found it was coming from some sort of relay (black and yellow) that has 4 pins noticed there was another relay the same swapped them over still no lights, ive even took the black door switch off to see if it had a bad earth but all seemed ok!, im really at a loose end here and this is my last shot before i take it to ford's,
