Transit Connect Bluefin

Postby lightning » Sun Nov 25, 2012 5:58 pm

I am selling my Bluefin unit on ebay at the moment, if anybody is interested.

It is for the Connect 110ps/Connect Sportvan and certainly improves the performance throughout the rev range, and particularly at motorway speeds.
The van would achieve 10mph more on an uphill section of the M62 going towards the Lake District.

Also fuel economy (if the van is driven normally)was improved from 330 to 360 miles full to reserve.

You may need to contact Superchips to get the unit paired to your van, however I tried installing it on my friend's Connect Sportvan and it worked fine on that. I think the issue may arise if you wanted to change it to a 75/90ps remap where you'd need to upload your existing settings to Superchips.

Any reasonable offer would be considered.

You need te original receipt from what I remember on the focus forum FFOC. Then contact super hips and request them to change the map on the unit to your vehicle. I think they charge £145 to donut though. That was a couple of years ago though. You can however still use it as a code reader after its been used by someone else as that feature is still available.

That is correct, if you want to use it with a different engine such as a TDDi or a 75ps (rather than a 110ps)

But if you have the 110ps it should be OK

Does nobody with a Connect 110ps or Sportvan want this?

I'm only expecting to get £60 or so for it (cost me nearly £400) but it's still at 99p on ebay.

Well it will be a bargain if it does work, as it sold for £33 on ebay and i paid £360 for it!

The Bluefin unit is worth more than that on it's own without the remap, as it can be used as an OBD code reader.

We tried it on my friend's Connect Sportvan and it worked on that, made a considerable difference. Is yours a 110ps?

Hi mate, my van is a 110 Swb :-)

I hope it works as the "wife" is going nuts here-
"what you've spent more money on that stupid van, Xmas is nearly here and we have a newborn baby to think of"

Looking forward to getting it now :-)
