Urgent problem with transit connect

Hi all i really need urgent help ive got a 1.8tdci transit connect mobile coffee van and on xmas eve i was driving home and my van started revving between 2000 and 7000 revs then it lost all power from accelertor but it starts and turns over but wont rev at all ive had a diagnostic test done and codes came up as p1342 p1343 p1576 ive been told to get a new pedal but reading on internet this wont solve the problem, any advice would be amazing as ive got to be back work on wednesday

Those codes are loss of pedal sensor A+B and Total loss of pedal position. Why do you say a new throttle pedal wont sort the problem ??
Throttle pedal is a common fault on a Connect.

Hi i was told by a lad that he had same problem like me with same codes etc and he got a new pedal and it never made a difference i just cant afford to spend money on parts if its not 100% gunna solve it

Well it's going to cost you either way, at least you can fit the pedal your self if it does fix it great if it doesn't the it needs to go to a garage.

Well if you cannot afford the parts you are going to have a mobile coffee van sitting doing nothing and bringing no income in.
It's a no brainer really. Get the pedal if it doesn't cure it, take it back.

As above get a new pedal and get the codes cleared and see if that solves it, got to start somewhere with problems like this.
