Transit connect brake bleeding

Postby Adam_84 » Thu Jan 17, 2013 10:56 pm

Hi, I'm looking to change my rear drums for discs, I have all the parts from Valetech ( thank you again ) and just wanted to know what order and where everything was come brake bleeding time obviously all 4 brake calipers and then clutch which is where? Also the van has ABS without hooking it up to a computer to run through the cycle how can I make sure everything gets bled correctly?
Will be using a Gunson eazi-bleed.

Thank you for any help or info.

with abs i find its easiest to bleed the brakes with the engine running, start from the furthest away from the master cylinder to the nearest and the clutch is bled from the slave cylinder on top of the gearbox

Clamp the rear brake flexi hoses that connect to the rear wheel cylinders on drum brakes. This will stop the loss of brake fluid, once flexi hoses are connected to rear calipers. Then all you need to do is bleed the rear brakes, & not whole brake system

Cheers for the replies, I'm looking re-new all the fluid as it needs doing anyway so is it rear passenger, rear driverside the front passenger, front driverside then slave cylinder?

Cheers
