Radio controls.

I want to swap out the OEM radio cassette in my 05 t230 for a CD with the remote column controls.

Can anybody post a eBay link to a suitable OEM HU that is comparable with the controls?

the stereo controls for the steering column simply clips into the quib - see pic below



you will need to replace the lower stereo column cover with one for stereo controls or modify it by adding a hole to slide the stereo conrols through.

For wiring all you rewire id the plug for the stereo controls & one for the stereo too make up a short loom consisting of 3 wires !

Here is a pic of the plug for stereos with column controls from 2003 onwards. Plug on the right in the pic is for the actual stereo column control.

The column control is very easy to fit & can be fitted to all connect models, For wiring there is ONLY 2 WIRES :!:

Although your stereo must be compatable with stereo column controls - Please note, NOT all early 2003-2006 stereos are compatable



If anyone is interested, I have both the stereo column control & stereo plug, complete with loom available FREE to anyone who wants it.
Simply plug in with no modification needed (will only fit connects from 2003-2006)

sorry to bump an old thread, and for the (what I assume will be) stupid question...

is fitting the control stalk, and wiring it up to the radio just as simple as :
# Slide/plug in Control Stalk to open "Port" on steering column
# Plug in Radio end of Cable to compatible stereo
# Plug Small plug end of cable into/onto....? the end of the control stalk?

is that all it takes... I mean no requirement for power to the stalk? or is there a power feedback via the stereo connection cable? or am I missing something ?

Yes thats all you need to do to fit control loom I sent you

Plug in Radio end of cable to compatible stereo
Plug Small plug end of cable into stereo control stalk
Slide & clip stereo control Stalk onto steering column (see previous pics on this thread)
