Postby peterrrl » Tue Sep 08, 2020 10:53 pm

hi as far as I know it ran out of fuel and won't start.
I changed the filter filled it and still not starting
I've tried cracking off injectors and turning over with no success
Also tried a primer bulb got fuel to the filter but I don't know if I was doing it right as still not starting any help appreciated thanks

charge battery

if that doesn't work you may have burnt the starter motor out :(

always fill the filter first with fresh and you wouldn't have this problem

I tried a different battery and had it on jump leads to my car, also I did fill the filter with fresh fuel after changing but it wouldn't draw anything from the tank it seemed

Was thinking to try and drag it tomorrow to bump start it (tried it with 3 of us pushing it and nothing) but don't know if I should do that as never done that before

Hoping I haven't wrecked the starter motor as dont really want to change that

make sure all fittings are on correctly, any dash lights on engine management etc, personally wouldn't tow, last resort would be run it up on brake cleaner with a injector cracked off, ps i know il get slagged of for this advice but always works

if does not run on brake cleaner i would suspect fuel pump has failed

It did start on easy start i know what is said about that lol
No dash lights, I primed it with a hand bulb and got fuel from the tank to filter and up to the end of the pipe that goes to the pump but then it stopped cranking so I don't know if it would have started now but didn't when trying to bump it so I don't really know what to do from here really. I will charge the battery tomorrow
