Aux Port Issue

Postby G-Unit88 » Tue Jun 06, 2023 8:16 pm

Hello,
My company just bought (3) Transit Connects and i'm trying to find out some information on how to fix a couple issues and locate parts.

Its a 2013, Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van.

The first issue is the 3.5mm Aux port.

The stereo works fine, however the Aux port doesn't. when the cable is plugged in It feels loose and doesn't make a connection with the system.

I was wondering If you guys could suggest a new Aux Port part, where to find it and possibly a little "how to" on how to tare the console apart to replace it!

There are a couple other cosmetic issues, I need wire cages for the back windows, the A/C knob is busted and the on the floor automatic shifter button looks like its busted because it keeps popping out of the shifter.

But we can take one thing at a time and figure out the AUX port first!

Yeah, i've found a couple but I don't know if they are compatible.

If you search this in Google it should bring up the part on Ebay, more importantly I think it gives me the part number.

"FORD TRANSIT CONNECT MK1 Auxiliary Audio Input Jack 1365708 NEW GENUINE"

I'm still trying to identify what "MK" version this van is, i still don't understand that designation.

Does P/N# 1365708 bring up what I should be looking for?

well this is the cheapest with that part number - genuine ford from so-called official ford store - email the seller with your vin number

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/393399949559?

and some more details

ENGINEERING PART NUMBER
3S7T19A164BA
MANUFACTURER PART NUMBER
1365708

so it all depends on mk1 or 2

part also fits a pile of other fords: fusion, fiesta etc

wiki link above will help you decide

btw 10 available / 236 sold says to me that they are not very reliable ..so could the other results in my first post solve the reliability issues ..note those results were not for plug and play ford part number ......you'd be chopping wires (3) and soldering and maybe drilling holes

Thanks Mark!

Yeah I'm thinking its an MK1, based on that link you sent over. its the "updated" version of the MK1.

That part number only brings up sellers in the UK, i'm curious is that because of where they are manufactured?

Or am I searching a UK part number?.....If that is the case is there a US part number equivalent?

I'm in the US, on the west coast.

all Transit connects mk1s were made in turkey ..

and i hear that there was a bit of a commotion going on in the USA when they were imported as cars and turned into vans to avoid 25 percent tax on commercial vehicles

i suppose you'll have to go to a USA dealership and get the parts guy to do some delving.

because all connects are imports in the USA perhaps ordered parts have to come from overseas, with a long delay

i did a search of ebay.com usa ......and no results for anyone from USA selling this part ..but a few from UK, Lithuania, Latvia and Germany.

BTW - you in the USA have an official "made of paper" ..parts book , workshop manual, and electrical manual ..you have something that we don't have...so that's one thing good for you.

Dont think its any good for us, as i don't think it covers diesel connects

Mark, yes. Your absolutely correct! all of our vans were make in Turkey, based on the VIN lookup.

I think going the dealership route may be the best option on this particular issue, because at this point its just a part.

I'm going to pop up some more threads to keep things on point for some other issues.
Thank you for your help!
