65 reg transit connect reverse sensor issue

Evening, newbie here, purchased a 65 reg swb limited last week, reverse sensors work fine however the reverse sensor picture on the dash display doesn’t seem to disappear when taking the van out of reverse unless I turn the van off and then on again? I’ve been under the rear bumper and checked the connectors and they seem all ok! I’m baffled, thanks

I don't know, is this a ford OE fitted LCD screen showing a video image from camera fitted to back of vehicle or is it an after market add on ..so are you talking about audio visual and warming device or LCD display screen .

Either of which I'm not going to be able to answer ..as your vehicle has a body control module and it likely wired into that and not the gearshift mechanism. which will be beyond my knowledge

if it is after-market add on - there may be a possibility that it has a switch that activates it, located on the side the side of the gear stick lower mechanicals, that can be accessed by removing gearshift gator/boot ..this switch may be damaged ..or need adjustment .

just remembered the reversing switch is on top of the gearbox ..look in that area ..test switch with multimeter to see if its working correctly or if after market splice in the wiring is still intact. and that info is for 5 speed mtx75 gearbox ..if its a 6 speed .. I don't know

Thanks for the replies, it’s a 6 speed gearbox, it’s not a reverse camera it’s just the basic reverse sensor warning screen that comes up on the screen it just doesn’t turn off I mean the sensors stop beeping but the display doesn’t disappear

if this is the transmission..
this is where the reversing switch is

and is first place to look for the fault
but like i said if all this info goes through BCM ..then that would be the second place and you need forscan for that .
