2015 connect rain sensor cover problem

Postby Shaun.Lovelock » Sun Jan 07, 2024 9:51 am

Yesterday I removed a hardwired dash cam in a connect that I recently purchased the cable that connected to the dash cam mount on the windscreen was routed under the original plastic rain sensor trim, but it doesn’t seem to sit flat against the windscreen now the dash cam cable has been removed it clips into the top section ok but at the bottom there’s nothing for the trim to clip into so there’s a 5mm gap around the windscreen and the plastic trim cover!? Thanks

Problem sorted now, managed to wedge a piece of timber under the cover trim and did a very minor bead of clear silicone down each side of the trim and let it set for 24 hours and it seems all good now
