Mk1 stiffer throttle pedal?

Postby 08SWB-connectOwner » Thu Jun 13, 2024 5:54 pm

Hello again.

I drive my TC almost 200km each work day and because of the throttle pedal being so light, I can't 'rest' my foot on the pedal and have to hold it in a slight tension.
I actually have now developed tendonitis because of this.
So I thought, seeing as I now have two weeks of sick leave, I might as well put that time to use and fix the issue.

So my question is:
Is there a sensible way to stiffen up the pedal a bit, without resorting to some rube goldberg-esque doohickery?

Thanks.

i don't know as I've never touched mine

here is a picture of it ..so you know what to expect

not shown are springs if it has any

not shown bushings .

it could be something to do with them ..as there is no throttle cable ..because its fly by wire.

As far as I understand them, fly by wire pedals most often have a clock spring in them.
I guess I could add some winds to it, if the pedal can be disassembled to such extent, but I guess I'm looking for a known solution.
Something someone else has done and found functional and safe.
