Reverse lights switch replaced, lights still not working

Hi all. My reverse lights would only work if I held the stick in the top left position applying pressure. I replaced the gearbox switch and the issue still pursued. 4 months later the lights now won't stay on even if I hold the stick in the sweet spot. I can only assume it's related to the stick mechanism. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Sorry don't know what's going on or how it works...I'd have to take my battery and tray out to find out .

There are two ways that switch could work
1 levers on the outside of the box press it on and off ...in which case there may be adjustment. if so get someone to put it in and out of reverse, for you to see if switch is being depressed.
2. or something operates within the box to turn it on or off...take switch off connect wiring, try pressing switch in and out whilst someone looks at back of van

or nothing to do with that and you have a wiring fault...or even an earth to engine fault, or someone put rear view camera on it and messed the wiring up ..tow bar electrics at fault, or reverse light itself corroded and faulty.
