Engine Service Now - 1.5 TDCI Duratorq

Postby surfrockuk » Sat Dec 07, 2024 8:05 pm

Hello, I've been lurking around here for a while but time for my 1st post!

My 2016 Tourneo Connect 1.5 TDCI Duratorq is showing Engine Service Now after 10 minutes driving and restricting power. I've replaced Oil, Oil Filter, Air filter, Fuel filter and reset the OBDII codes then this one came back:

Code: P06DD - Engine Oil Pressure Control Circuit Performance/Stuck Off

Checked the Oil pressure through Forscan and its reading 15psi/1bar with Key on, engine off. Looks like a faulty sensor but what do you guys think? Also, Where is the Sensor located on 1.5 TDCI Duratec?

I bought Haynes autofix but it has proved useless.

Thanks, Rob

Hi Guys,

just seen this post and this is my first post - i have a very similar problem, where by the Engine Service Light comes on, when going up hill. i have a fault code of PO66DD which indicates the oil pressure switch, however looking at the post the oil send sensor looks different the connection is black.

is there a oil pressure switch and a oil pressure sensor or are they the same thing.

my van is a 2016 1.5TDI transit connect on a 66 plate. when i type in to Euro parts, or any other part supplier and put the reg number in i get this, and for all the sausages in the world i cannot find this.

If it is not this one and it is the Black pressure sender sensor, is there a procedure to do this as i can just see it, but looks a nightmare to get too

Thanks Mark Clements
