Can't access ECU

Hi,
I recently bought an ex Hilti Ford Transit connect (2019). The computer plug in the footwell has a steel box around it with a cable heading off to the back of the dashboard??? Does anybody know where the cable goes to or how to open the box so I can access the engine management fault light. Please help, seriously stuck.
