Hi all!
I have a '15 Transit Connect with an 1.6 TDCI engine, all ok, it's a near brand new van with 76K miles in the clock, but 2 weeks ago began a small issue.
If i start it morning, 20-25°C ambient temp, and drive only 500 meters, once revving over 2000 rpm, i get fault code P2598, and then the van stuck in limp mode, i lost 30% of power, bump a "check engine" amber colored light to my face.
After that i restart engine, (on the road, in-the- fly) everything's works fine, error code goes away. If i start the car, but do nor drive, stay at place, wait 8-10 minutes at idling, and the temp gauge shows 70 °C, all ok, under this temp get error codes.
Firstly replaced the temp sensor, checked turbo actuator, all ok, replaced vacuum routing solenoid under turbo, nothing changed, replaced turbo actuator sensor, all was ok, problem persist, new parts don't cure my van.
Choked with my mouth the vacuum actuator with a rubber hose, all ok, it can stay same position, if i close hose hole, checked all, but do not find any cracked vacuum hose, or anything issue under hood.
Very very strange behavior, if i drive only one mile, the engine can small warm up, if i stay under 2000 rpm, i can't get error code. Over 2000 rpm i get, but only if engine cold. If i get error code before it, simply restart it, all problems gone, works good without any issue until i arrive at home, after 500-800 miles of driving, and 10-15 restarting i can't get codes, only if the engine is cold.
What can i do in this case? I can't found noting. Thanks for helping.
