Hi all,
I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I have a 2016 Ford Transit Connect 1.5 Duratorq TDCi Stage VI, no AdBlue.
FORScan identifies it as:
Duratorq Turbo Diesel Common Rail Injection Stage VI 1.5L 2016 / 2014 MY
I’m getting this fault:
P06DD – Engine Oil Pressure Control Performance / Stuck Off
It usually happens on the motorway when accelerating from around 100 km/h to 120 km/h in 5th gear, under load.
I’m trying to locate the oil pressure control valve / oil pressure solenoid / oil pump control valve, but I’m struggling to find it on my engine.
I’ve found these references online:
GM5Q-6846-AA
Ford 2093005
Pierburg 7.08681.00.0
But I’m not sure if they apply to my exact engine.
I removed the wheel and checked around the crank pulley / auxiliary belt side, as I thought it might be mounted on or near the oil pump, but I couldn’t see any obvious solenoid or valve there.
I’ve also seen other Ford 1.5 TDCi engines where the oil pressure valve seems to be located near or below the oil filter housing, but I can’t see anything like that on mine either.
So now I’m not sure whether this exact engine has an external replaceable oil pressure control valve, or whether it uses a different oil pump without a separate solenoid.
Could anyone help confirm:
Does the 2016 Transit Connect 1.5 Duratorq TDCi have an external oil pressure control valve/solenoid?
If it does, where exactly is it located?
Can it be replaced without removing the sump/oil pan?
Are GM5Q-6846-AA / Ford 2093005 / Pierburg 7.08681.00.0 correct for this engine, or are they only for later/different 1.5 TDCi pumps?
Does anyone have a photo, diagram, workshop manual screenshot, or exploded view showing the location?
I’m trying not to replace random parts without first confirming what my engine actually has fitted.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks.
