re clonking on 2003 Connect 75 ps TDDi

Hi any help on a clunking sound coming from underneath at the rear of a 2003 Connect 75 ps TDDi short wheelbase. (Not the brake binding sound) Any small holes in road get a Thud / clunking from rear underneath. Cant be anything to serious as just passed MOT Thanks

hi matey, coconut can confirm but i believe some connects had a weak weld joint on the rear beam connect a roll bar of something, most should of been sorted, could it be that?

Whats the Roll Bar? Is is that whacking great thick bar that goes between both rear wheels? (I'm a Connect Noob so go easy on me lol)

Sort of, the tags where the arb links bolted on was changed from 5mm to 4mm and then started to snap so was changed back to 5mm again

Nope thats the rear beam axle

Its a bar about 30/40mm in diameter fixed to the body above the axle and connects by 2 link arms either side (not all connects have them)
