Bleeding transit connect 1.8 tddi 75ps

Postby Drago » Sat Sep 20, 2008 6:31 pm

Ok major dilemma here.

Have just changed the fuel filter on my 2005 75ps tddi transit connect.
Unfortuantely i didnt read up on having to fill the fuel filter with diesel before you try starting the engine.
So obviously i have lots of air in the pipes.
I have tried cracking the injectors and cranking the engine over, it seems a small bit of air is coming out but to me it doesnt seem like there is much fuel being pumped to the injectors if any at all.

What is the next step as i really need the van for monday :(

Cheers in advance :)

Just a thought... have you taken the filter off again and filled it with diesel??

Ok will give that a try today. Managed to pretty much flatten the battery yesterday with all the cranking.

Would one of these diesel priming bulb tools do the job?
