Removal of remap

Postby lightning » Fri Jul 13, 2012 3:45 pm

I've had to remove the remap on my Connect 110ps as my new insurance company want nearly 200 pounds more with it installed. Fortunately l can just plug the unit in and uninstall it.
It's no big deal as the 110ps is hardly slow as standard. Sadly it does about 4mpg less now though.

I will probably sell it on ebay when l can get round to it.

Just my luck they would find out somehow

And if that was the case they said my insurance would be invalid.

chances are, thats now been logged on their computers, which are linked to all the insurers.
Every time you go for a quote now, they will ask if youve had it mapped.

It's unlikely l will want to get it remapped now.

With the price of diesel l never exceed 2500rpm these days!

Sounds like you need a 75 lightning, not a remapped 110

The 110ps pulls so well from about 1500rpm that you don't need to go over 2500.
