transit connect no revs

hi all just like to say a big thank you for the help with my 2.5di engine now running great,

however now i have got that running great (just finished today)

on my way home in my transit connect 53 plate i lost all revs was travling about 40 mph, managed to limp back on the clutch

now i know from experiance that the pedal assembly is more than likley faulty just want to get you opinion on this,

we have owned the van since new and its just covered 62,000 genuine and this will be the 5th pedal assembly we will be fitting to this van surley this cannot be right ?

thats a new one every 12000 miles aprox on average ????

is this a known problem or could something else be causing the part to fail early,

any advise or thoughts ???

were they oem pedals or aftermarket?.......i do about the same mileage as you and hav'nt had a problem yet

no they was oem purchased from ford

about £90 worth

I have a used spare connect pedal If you wanted to try it out (origional ford pedal) - not sure where you are but if you're anywhere near slough feel free to test it out PM me if your interested
