rear door difference

Hi All, does anyone know what the difference is between the left hand rear door that has the plastic strip covering the numberplate lights and the left hand rear door that has no plastic strip and the 2 visible numberplate lights ??

So what your saying is some was made with the plastic strip covering the NP lights and some were not ????????????????

at a certain build date ford deleted the large plastic strip and used the 2 number plate lights as used on the big transits, the doors are the same apart from this

ye in 2007 i think they changed and removed the cover. I have however just bought one of covers off a local breakers for 10 pounds and i am going to fit it to my 07 plate, as i think that i looks much better.

Mines a 06 and hasnt got the plastic trim, I seen some 07 with it on, strange

I found out from Ford when looking into getting one of these , the plastic cover was only on the models up to 2004 , after that they stopped adding it. My sportvan doesnt have one ... so im on the lookout for one

The strip and the two little lights have different fixing points so you would have to rectify that if you wanted to change it. That's what I've read on here anyway lol
