ABS problem

Postby westers » Sat Oct 13, 2012 3:36 pm

just changed the front wheel bearing again ABS one, but my ABS light is still on :(

if i turn the engine off and on again and drive at less than 14mph the light will go off and stay off. but as soon as i go over 15mph it comes back on and stays on untill i turn the engine off again.

i guess the next step is to get a new ABS sensor and try that? as the module is mega money :/

any help would be great :D

Did you fit the wheel bearing the correct way round, when the sensor is faulty you tend to find the light stays on all the time

bearing is definatly the right way around, had a mechanic check it and mark the ABS side, well i hope it is

im sure it is, because with the old bearing the light was constantly on (think that was a non ABS one) and now this one it does go off untill 15mph

You need to get the fault codes then, if you want to take a gamble the sensors aren't expensive from euro car parts.
