Gearbox speed sensor

Does anyone know the year when the speed sensoring was changed from a gearbox-mounted sensor to using the ABS sensors? I've bought a box from a breakers who claim it's from an '07 model, but my '06 box has the later blanking plug where the sensor used to go, so I think some porkies have been told! Yes, I know, it serves me right!

Yes they changed in late 2006 - BUT if 2007 connect the gearbox was removed from, did not have ABS (As some early 2007 connects didn't have VSS ABS until late 2007). Then it would still have the sensor on gearbox.

Although it does not matter as gearbox would still fit

Perhaps I was being too harsh! Mine must have been on the cusp of the sensor change.
