clunk on front end,

Postby phoenix123 » Sat Oct 20, 2012 9:07 pm

hi

i have a 53 plate transit connect and when i got to accelarate i get a clunk from the front end its more noticable in 2nd gear at low speeds, but still there a bit at higher speeds,

ive had issues before due to engine/gear box mounts on a renault, but i dont get any movement via the gear stick like i did then,

so any suggestion would be helpfull as its a lovely drive and has only covered 60,000

on a diffrent note i dont know if its related but when i turn full lockand get to the end of the lock i get a small clunk then also(diffrent clunk)

Thanks

hi thanks for your reply are these items easy to replace / is there a way to tell what is faulty, also is it normal to need replacing after only 60,000 also all cv boots look intact etc

thanks

mount between gearbox and subframe is a common fault on connects and you wont feel anything through the linkage coz its operated by cables :D
