has any one ever / thought about putting a chrome trim around a standard exhaust? i know on some cars they look REALLY cheesy and rubbish, but what about somthing like this?

Not seen these before. Due to the shape of the tailpipe do you think it would need cutting?

Just been looking at these again and with this onehttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DOWNWARD-ANGL ... 22&afsrc=1
it seems to allow the exhaust gasses to escape at the rear (see second pic) but not sure if it would look right as maybe too low? Looking at the other they may be better option if cutting the tailpipe a little which allows a better fit plus gasses to escape out the trim as normal.

I don't know how steep your exhaust drops down but these have a 120deg curve, so if your exhaust has more or less then that the tip won't sit level. Might be something to consider?
