Connect split bulkhead pin locator?

In my connect I have a split bulkhead,the hinged side keeps rattling as the pin has nothing to keep it in place. (it just sits in an oval hole which allows it to move and concequently rattles about) Is there something that the spring loaded pin should lock in to? Thanks.

Not sure what you're asking about.

The floor hole should have a rubber 'blind' grommet insert.

The retractable pin should have a straight sided rubber ferrule on the end.
