Possibly abit eccentric
Probably gone overboard on this project. But then, do like a good challenge

Currently deciding on what to do with engine ?
Thinking of changing it for the 1.8 TDCI 125ps engine (QYBA) from a Mondeo mk4 along with the 6sp gearbox 8)

Which should return better MPG & no need to worry on power to weight ratio.
Mondeo mk4's gross weight is heavier than my T200 connect

thats the motor im looking for to go in the red van

I am going to fit a Mondeo mk4 QYBA engine with 6 speed gearbox.

But to do that I have to change the entire wiring loom front front to back. Current engine is euro 3 & QYBA is euro 4

Well I picked up a bargain again from ebay

complete bulkhead for £40 :D

Have not bolted it in fully, there's no point when wiring is going to be replaced.

Obtained the complete wiring looms from a 2007 connect Lx SWB

Well pleased as wiring is equipped for heated front windscreen, ABS & Aircon

Engine bay loom

Dash loom (which I will have to modify & patch in the loom I made up for the 2010 instrument cluster & GEM module etc)

& body loom which runs from front to back

Here you can still see the 2 plugs for the original central locking interface, which had been removed & it's wiring connected to GEM module. Also at bottom of pic is the rear door unlock relay

Why did you buy all that, Im sure you could have made one, did this mess that you made with your added MS-HS CAN that you kept on & on & on about not work then, that was a waste of time
Please don't send me PM's, i can't access them, when I try I get this:

If you read this thread properly, MAIN reason for changing the complete wiring loom. Is so I can fit the mondeo mk4 QYBA 125ps euro 4 engine
My current engine F9DA is euro 3 (Wiring looms are completely different between euro 3 & euro 4 !)

Looms I have just obtained is for a euro 4 engine

For your info the MS-CAN & HS-CAN networks I added are working perfectly (read previous posts !)
& see vid here  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c--cRAGk10g

& what mess

On earlier connects the CTM is still built into the Instrument cluster on models from 2006-2009. On models from 2009 onwards it was replaced with GEM module.
So I still have to add in a sub loom for the 2010 instrument cluster, GEM module, steering angle sensor, Yaw rate sensor (ESP), Airbag module & Ambient Air temp sensor !

GEM Module controls indicators / hazards, Air recirculation, wipers, heated mirrors & front screen, headlights, interior lights, central locking & Aircon etc

I agree "why go to so much trouble and time fitting" . I would have left it if keeping the engine, unfortunately the current looms are incompatible with new engine

Call it a trial run, just to see if it could be done.
Now I can improve on it by incorperating the sub loom for the 2010 kit into the main replacement dash loom, this way there will only be 1 loom behind the dash instead of 2
Replacement 2007 dash loom will not plug straight into the 2004 body loom - different plugs & wiring. Hence why that too has to be changed.

I did plan on retrofitting a heated front windscreen & ABS. I was lucky to get a complete loom with wiring for these alreaady there, which has saved some time. :D
