I had a result today! All my electric window and mirror kit was plug and play :) Just had to put the three fuses in!
How do the heated mirrors work? are they constant? as the switch doesnt have a heated button like im used to with other vehicles.

One issue i had was the Mondeo handles were completely different and i thought they were the same :(

Also made another template and frame for my centre console. A lot more work needed, and need to make one out of metal:

Thats good to hear your elec window/mirror kit was plug & Play.

Reguarding heated mirrors, they are also connected to the heated rear window relay in fuse panel behind glove box.
As heaters in mirrors turn on when rear window heater/demist is turned on. you will also require the heated rear window switch. (thats according the wiring diagram on the Ford TIS)

Also if you do not have glass in rear doors, the actual wiring for heated rear windows is there, so just a simple matter of adding the relay & switch

The mondeo door handles (complete assembly) will not fit connect, but the handles themselves (not outer casing) will. You need the remove the pin holding the handles in place on the mondeo & connect, and just transfere them accross.

I still have a pair of these mondeo crome door handles available if anyone is interested ?

The VW caddy may have the quicker 140 engines, but the connects can carry more weight than them & still cruise at 80 on the motor way

Cheers Paul. Sounds the same as putting the vectra chrome handles in an Astra. Something I've done a fair bit lol
With those it was obvious how the pin came out but with these mondeo ones it's not. Any pointers?

Cut the bottom of the pin off with a Hacksaw blade. Then take the pin out, insert mondeo handle parts and drop the cut pin back through. Will still be long enough to hold it all together even though the bottoms cut off. Hope that makes sense, if not there's a good guide somewhere on here :D

Yeah I googled it earlier and done them all now! One word of warning, be careful with the cable. I accidently bent mine getting the handle off and now had a little kink in it meaning it gets stuck! I've bent it back and lubed it and it's ok at no but I think I'll change the cable to be sure

Fitted the Mondeo handles:

Rerouted the amp cable through the inner arch instead of the door pillar:
