When to EMG Ford today for a new air intake hose (the one between air filter box & turbo) They wanted £67 for it

So I went to my local breakers & got a decent one for a £5 instead 8) 8)

Image

also got my parking sensor holders for rear bumper.

Image

Unfortunately the Ford X-Vision I had spare, The sensor do not fit ! They are too small (sensor body size is 18mm, sensor face is 22mm). So I will stick with the Bosch Parkpilot, which was fitted connects with rear parking sensors

So if anyone is looking to fit rear parking sensors This kit has the Visual & audible warning - If anyone is interested in it let me know.

Well removed my old air intake pipe between air filter box & turbo & fitted the replacement

Heres the condition of the old one !

Image

Removed my old intercooler today with the intention of fitting this 110 intercooler.

Image
Image

But came accross a problem, the new 110 intercooler is slightly longer than the old one & will not fit properly on the slam panel & sits higher !
The problem is, I have the plastic slam panel that were fitted all 2002 - 2003 connects. On connect 2004 onwards they were changed to the 3 piece steel slam panel.

Heres a pic of my plastic slam panel, if you compare to your own (if you have the 3 piece steel one) you will be able to clearly see the difference !

Image

Currenty I have a broken grill on my connect, Although I did buy a new one but it would'nt fit as it was too short in height.
Thats when I found out there are 2 versions of the mk1 grill.

version 1 fits connects from 2002 - 2003
version 2 fits connect from 2004 -2006

so there must be 2 versions of the mk1 intercooler as well :?:

I have ordered a 3 piece steel one, just waiting for it to arrive

So when it does finally arrive, I will be able to fit the 110 intercooler & the mk2 front grill I have here waiting to be fitted as well

Image

I have not found a cover for the later intercooler yet :(

not just a 110 i/c, fitted on all post '56 models, how are u going to fit the map sensor?, later models with that grill have the lock further forward so u might have to alter it behind ford badge

Yes I am aware that connects used the same intercooler on 75, 90 & 110 engines from 2006 onwards.
I said 110 intercooler, as it was removed from a 110 connect :D

the "IAT SENSOR" fitted to the intercooler was re-located to the left hand side air pipe from intercooler to the inlet manifold on 2006 models onwards, So I will do the same.

Reguarding the mk2 grill, I know the same 3 piece steel slam panel was fitted to all models from late 2004 to 2009 (same part number)

I did originally think the lock may be altering, But according to valetech it does not need to be modified :?:
