Got the windows tinted. 35% in the front and 20% in the rear.

Friendly advise If in the UK - Change the the window tint on the front windows to a lighter tint as 35% is illegal on the front
(I do vehicle signwriting & window tinting)

Vehicle & Operator Services Agency (VOSA) Statement

The UK Road Vehicles (Construction & Use) Regulations 1986 Act details the legality of window tinting in the UK - and as amended specifies the minimum levels of light that must pass through the windscreen and front side windows.
For a legal window tint in the UK the specifications are:
a) Motor Vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1985
b) The light transmitted through the windscreen must be at least 75%.
c) The front side windows (to either side of the drivers’ head) must allow at least 70% of light to be transmitted through them.

If the glass is tinted to a point whereby it lets through less than 70% light through the front side windows (75% for windscreen), the vehicle is breaking UK Window tinting law.

The consequences of illegally tinted windows!

If you are driving with less than legally required light transmitting through the windscreen and front side windows, the following could happen ;

a) You could be stopped and fined - you are effectively handing the police a 'reason' to stop your vehicle - the car could be impounded if it is considered dangerous to drive and/or could be given a prohobition order until removed!

b) You will be required to remove the film (which will cost) and present your car to the Police confirming it has been returned to a legal status.

c) If you have an accident and it can be proven that the reduced vision caused by the illegal film was a contributing factor, you are likely to get part or full blame - even if it was not under normal circumstances your fault!

d) Even worse - your insurer - if they stand to be in a position where they are looking at full acceptance of liability (as you were at fault) - may determine that your insurance is invalidated! and you will be looking at footing the costs on your own for your own vehicle and any other damage to third party vehicles or property.

It isn't legal in Norway either, not even clear film is legal. Because if in an emergency that makes the windows hard to break trough. But then again, have had 35% on the front for nearly 10 years now and no problems

Finally fitted my side skirts.
That is another one off the list to fit.
Still alot in the garage, more bits seem to turn up than being fitted at the moment.

I fitted the carpet, not perfect but perfectly OK for a work van.
I also fitted my new 'parts catalogue bargain' shortened shocks and new top mounts and bearings!

Had a hectic week with the connect, fitted a boost gauge to start with so I can find out what boost I was putting out as std (17psi) then I went ahead and fitted my turbosmart boost tee, but that where the fun started.... I snapped the out let off of the turbo housing had a sinking feeling for about 5 secs then thought to myself MAN UP and fix it. When i say snapped, I mean snapped it flush with the body. So I drilled out what was left, went down to work rummage through the odds and sods draw in me tool box and found an old brass water outlet. Home that night drill out to 7.2mm and tap it out to M8 red loctite around thread and put in me new outlet. Left for 4hours went back out and carried on with the boost tee fitting.
All done out for a test drive now I have spiking boost with the boost turned all the way down. So Friday I removed the ball and spring and no more spike.
The reason for fitting the boost tee was to try to eliminate some of my smoke from my remap it's not bellowing out but under hard acceleration it does smoke. Oh and another reason to Mod the van.
Other than the boost gauge and the boost tee I won on eBay for a total of £30.00 the week has cost me nothing

I've put the gauge in with the crossovers as I did not want it on display all the time and it's noisy (buzz's).

Following the turnosmart recommendation really. I fitted the gauge to the inlet manifold to MAP sensor pipe

So then. Next update....
When lowering my van for some reason i binned the bearings which left the springs like this:






So replaced topmounts and added the bearings back in lol
Also fitted my 'parts catalogue find' £20 shortened rear shocks. Ive not tested them with a loaded van but theyre spot on unloaded! Sorry for the poor pics






And my wheels are back from the painters:

And one side done. Bit of creasing round the tunnel but i can live with that:







I did the drivers side with next to no creases but forgot to take a pic lol
I also cut this much off the gear stick for a much shorter throw:

Tested spraying the interior black by doing the centre console trim below the gear lever. Turned out well so will continue with the rest (eventually)
