seen some blanks with a small hole in it?

do i need a complete blank or a holed one?

From what I've read they're for the tdci, something to do with the engine management

no they don't my focus 100 hp tdci runs ok with a full plate

brilliant! thanks guys, just ordered one, so will see what happens, if i get any problems i can always remove it and put a small hole in it 8) :lol:

If your van is a connect no hole shoud be needed

The only tdci's that need a hole are the ones with an electronic EGR valve. That is sort of horizontally mounted. The round UFO looking one mounted vertically you don't need a hole for.

I blocked the EGR off last week on my transit connect sport with a little peace of metal i got of ebay run it on a full tank and made a little diffrence but was poor on the motorway so slow took it out again today and feel like a rocket again we see how we go this week.

Mine runs ok with it blanked. Not really sure of any improvement yet but certainly not lacking in performance.

i had mine blanked in my tdci 75 connect when getting the vantuner remap we removed it and it ran a lot better so i'm leaving mine out! with it mapped and fifed it left a hole in the power about 2500 revs. not every van is the same tho eah!

try it 1st.....if it brings the eml on just put a 5mm hole in it
