Lovely stuff guys, thanks for all the replies. I think I'll wire mine up with a switch so it doesn't come on with the existing light unless I need it.

Ok guys I can't decided whether to have it wired straight to the existing lighter use the 12v behind the ply and put a switch in it so its only if I need it on.

LEDs hardly pull any current I'm lead to believe so I just wired it into my existing light which had led festoon bulbs in it and you can always use the interior light switch to turn them off and after a while they do turn off on the their own.

I suppose it does save farting about with a switch. Do you still have your festoons come on aswell or do you just cut the wires and use it for the LEDs?

Also, I see that you have a DI vessel in your van.. do you use a DI rinse for car valeting? I use RO/DI water to rinse my van and car too!

Hi, cheers for your comment, yeah I use it for car valeting but its only a part time thing still as I still work full time building mini's.
And all I did was cut the interior light cable chock block it then rejoin it to the light and put in the feed for the LEDs as well,

Here's a link for the them got it off eBay : item no. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261034886382
