Check stub axle dimensions in case you can just swap hubs.....
Then what about the fronts ??

These guys were saying that Mk1/RS/ST170 (also Mk6 Fiesta BTW) front bearings where 'easy' and confirmed it would work... but from what I am seeing is that both the front and rear bearings off of those cars have different dimensions in depth and inside/outside diameter to that if the Mk1 Connect front, so I am calling BS misinformation!

I think what people have potentially done is swap the entire front Mk1 connect hub assembly out for ST170 front hub assembly and CVs.

With the rear, I believe that they also swap out the whole hub assembly and it fits with filing of two of the holes.

Feel free to put me in my place.. but I doubt it.

Yes some of those guys get someone else to do it ..then come out with this BS to make people think they did it themselves. hence the misinformation. hiding behind the computer ..

Like classic car events were they proudly stand by their car, telling people who are not in the know, they did it all themselves ..when quizzed by someone in the know, they are very vague and quickly become unstuck.

You are spot on to do what you are doing, you are doing it the right way by questioning and doubting, double checking etc ., sorry i cant be of any more help.
