Help with fitting my Fiesta ST steering wheel

ye i had the battery disconnected when attempting it before, but for today i had enough, so the battery is now connected again, so will probably leave until tomorrow. How come no jobs on a car are easy!!!! even with the simple jobs you always have some trouble!!!!

just done this mod this morning, as said disconect battery leave for 10 minutes, then i pulled the steering wheel out on the reach adjuster to give more room to work. with a small blade screwdriver push into the holes on the back. i found the release point was more to the outside of the steering wheel. you tend to shove the blade into the centre of the wheel but its more to the outer. it releases fairly easy, once the top two are uncliped you wiggle the airbag upwards to release the last one. then undo the wires

Slightly off topic but does the wheel from a 2003 mondeo fit??

i think the mondy wheel will fit but not sure if you need the mondy airbag module. or the airbag could have different connections. the fiesta airbag i got was different to the connect and wouldnt fit.
