Hi Hal!
yes- it shares a fair bit from the focus mk1- but not the 4 stud wheels!
The Brake light as far as I can remember is due to a difference in US and European laws- US state it must be central to the vehicle -Euro rules state it can be offset by a certain amount.
Cheers
Steve

OK, that type of marker on the bumpers or somewhere on the fender is required over here. The turnsignal repeater is a novelty not seen on most vehicles.

How does it go? Slowly. We Americans are just getting aquainted with small slow vehicles. Years ago I drove things like MGA's and Morris Minor 1000's but got away from them for many years. My wife drives a Buick with a 3.8l engine. I have a MK1 Focus with a 2L Zetec engine but I have added a supercharger to it so I have 223HP to the wheels on the dyno.

They cost a fortune around here too. Couple of them in those pictures recently sold for $400K. Mine is just a small rancher and we bought it in 1976 so now it would sell for ~6 times what we paid for it :D

$400k? Wow. I think I need to move. Houses like that would be closer to $1million US if they were over here.

Nice van too :)

Hello Hal! I know it's been a while since anyone replied on this post, so I figured I would!

Did you ever find out if the 2010 TC was pre-wired for the Front fogs? I got a 2011 TC XLT but it didnt' come with fog lights, and I'm just getting around to starting mods.
I know I can get the lights for cheap enough on eBay now, but I may have to cut holes in the bumper. It would *seem* that the little fog-light holes with the 'orange juice squeezer' style fillers, are actually permanent pieces of the bumper cover.

But I don't know if the wiring harness includes wiring for the fogs or NOT. So I thought I would ask you what you found on yours!
These U.S. Transit Connects are a bit different from the UK versions y'know?

I have a full list of part numbers (100 pages worth) that show all the various parts and whatnot, and I know I'll have to get a different light switch as well that enables the front fogs to be switched on and off, but that's ok.

Also, did you ever lower your TC at all? Talk to you soon!

Wonder why they didn't use it over here instead of adding a separate high brake light on the roof?

US State laws requite it to be in the centre.

Getting back to the fog light question, the" juicers" you have in the front bumper are molded in, and you will need to cut them out, if you need to fit lights, but you will also need the mountings that were never included on your model.
The light switch for front fogs will have 2 seperate pullouts, one for the rear, and another for the front fogs, and each will be illuminated, so this will mean another switch be purchased, or wire them up with the rears.
You laws are so different than ours, over here, its illegal to drive with the front fogs on unless there is fog or falling snow.

Hello Mr. Bumbles:

I have a 2012 TC XLT it came with rear fog lamps. What a surprise that was when I thought the fronts should have come on..... Anyway was your 2011 pre-wired for the fronts? I will be starting that project next month and would appreciate any tips you may have.

Thank you

You know, I never got around to checking. Priorities changed REALLY fast around here. We were forced to move, change our budget, and still in the middle of a real mess here. So for a while, all plans on my van have paused :(

Do you have seats in the back of that van? That would be really useful.

I wonder if they could be fitted to a UK Connect Van? Can you post a picture of the rear load area?
