anyone using 2stroke in a connect tddi ? 03 plate

exactly why i haven't done mine....
need to sort out a day off, where i can take off the egr, clean it, and then change the air filter (maybe to a cone?) and oil change etc...

definatley sounds like an idea using the oil though

sorry lads but iv never heared of this one before but it sounds quite logical , do you get that blue haze from the exhaust as i used to in the 80s from my old 350lc yam lol lol / or can i use whats left of a tin of castrol r30 race oil to give that exotic smell that used to linger long after you had sped away from the lights lol

I've just been reading this topic and thing this is a really good idea, I own a Mazda RX8 (rotary engine) as my weekend car, I have been premixing two stroke for a about a year now and have seen the benefits, I would of never of thought of premixing the two stroke oil on my tddi connect. just a word of advice though, use fully synthetic two stroke oil and not the mineral two stroke. The mineral two stroke oil can leave tar like deposits on valves and over time could block and destroy your catalytic converter, the fully synthetic two stroke has been engineered to burn cleanly with very low ash.

and no i have not smelt it

so much better seems so much quieter and starts immediately regardless not sure MPG wise as its driven by whole family.

The recommendations I have read state to NOT use a fully synthetic oil but that a mineral or semi-sythetic are OK.

been running for a week now and am amazed in the noise reduction and quiet starting wooohooow great idea

I filled up my tank to the neck yesturday and also added 250ml of mineral 2 stroke oil,not long after down the road I noticed that the engine noise was defnatley lower than it was !,I am a very hard man to convince,but I would say it really does make a difference ! but Im no expert,it does however seem very logical that it will infact lube up your pump amongst other things,dont know if it will make a difference to the MPG,but we will see,I work on a mile a minute ,strictly,so I will let yous know,Is'nt it crazy that we have to do this ourselves,when the fuel companys should be doing this already,lubes and cleaners are needed in fuel,or so Im told,so why do we have to be adding our own
