only takes 2 mins to take the alt shaft out but yeah your way works fine mate

I've just had my cam belt done just to find out that there is a belt inside the engine which runs in oil that needs changing the same time as the cam belt is this true I have an 08 tdci connect cheers matt

if it has definatly got the belt in oil then yes it must be replaced at 150.000 miles
