Any idea what revs you'll be doing at 60mph on the focus box?

Only reason I asked is when I bought a second hand box to replace my one with a knackered synchro the revs were slightly less. I'm just curious if I've got a focus box or a 110ps connect with the longer final drive.

Post the part no of gearbox - either on label near N/S driveshaft or in raised letters/digits on top of bell housing.

My 90ps TDDi Focus is doing about 2200 revs at 60mph in 5th

It's been nearly a month now, Since I've been looking for a 6sp gearbox & they seemed to be rare to get hold of

Tried findapart, 1stchoice & 247spares & only had 2 quotes in, the lowest was £1100 inc VAT & delivery

I am tempted to buy this 2011 Focus 1.8 TDCI estate gearbox priced at £75 with free delivery

Just so I can get on with fitting all parts including new engine while it's under warranty. Then change out the box for a 6sp when one is available at a reasonable price

I've contacted that seller in March this year reguarding that gearbox (yes it's been on ebay for 5 month now).
Checked part no I got from seller & comfirmed it's actually a 5sp - know wonder it's never sold

R3PA is a 90ps TDCI engine fitted to connects from 2006 onwards & were never equipped with 6sp boxes

In the meantime I've grabbed the 2011 Focus box so I can get on & fit engine etc, Once I get a 6sp box I will swap it over.

It would be 9 gears less than what the MAN 4X2 360bhp tractor unit has (16 gears)

Well I can't see any markings on te box but I was doing 60mph yesterday and the revs were just over 2,000. I mean the needle sat on the too end of the 2,000epm mark. So what box so you guys reckon I've got?

checked yesterday.......60mph@2000rpm......70@2400rpm, thats the box with 3.8 diff

looks like it mate .....i'll post what the focus box with the 3.41 diff does when it goes in this week
