not so much today, but yesterday I spent the day treating areas of my van where either there was either small patches of rust, or where the lacquer had peeled off (mainly on the roof).
the main rusty patch was on the rear drivers corner in the lower curve "cut out" for the light cover...
simply put I took the light cover out, rubbed down the whole rim to clear off any dirt or built up algae, then using the metal brush that's part of the "touch up pen" kit from ford wiped away the residue, and applied a coat of "Colorado Red" paint, left it for an hour then applied a coat of lacquer.
before I did that I had washed my van and allowed it to dry, after doing that small corner patch, I got a small step ladder and started applying the lacquer to the areas on the roof where it had just started peeling, on other areas where the paint was damaged I just repeated the same treatment I had used for the "corner"... left the paint to dry and applied the lacquer.
not much but it keeps things from getting too bad... I still have all the stone chips on the bonnet to deal with next
